Teachers Don’t Forget To Laugh is a workbook designed to help teachers bring humor into the classroom—and finally get their students to pay attention. Teachers Don’t Forget To Laugh transforms proven comedy techniques into a fun, visual guide that helps educators boost student engagement, reduce stress, and create more effective learning environments. Because when students are laughing, they’re learning.

Students everywhere are zoning out, and subjects like math and English are taking the hit. It’s not that they’re incapable—it’s that they’re unengaged. While working with Mrs. Monzo, a middle school English teacher struggling to connect with students post-COVID, I introduced her to the book Teaching with Comedy. Her response? “Do you think I want or have time to read this book?” Fair point.

As she skimmed through it, she added, “See—ten of these pages could just be one page of pictures.” And she was right. That moment made something click: teachers, like students, need materials that are clear, visual, and actually fun to engage with.

So I reimagined the book as an interactive, illustrated workbook. With bold typography, color-coded sections, and a character named Diana guiding the way, each comedy technique is broken down into easy-to-grasp visuals. The workbook includes reflection prompts, “Comedy Traps” (what not to do), and activity sections that make the learning stick—for teachers and students alike.

Meet Diana a professional on the topic and guides the reader throughout the entire book.

History Of Comedy is the first section of the book that lays out how comedy was used throughout history.

Comedy techniques are broken down into color coded sections with illustrated how-tos.

The Workbook helps teachers understand each technique better and to reflect.

Comedy Traps goes through everything not to do while using comedy in the classroom.
